BirchStreet Spotlights New Solutions for Hospitality Industry and Announces Global Hyatt Corporate as Latest Customer Win
Orlando, Fla., June 25, 2007 – This week at HITEC, BirchStreet Systems will showcase its innovative eProcurement solution, the BirchStreet Application Suite. BirchStreet will shine the spotlight on its solution, which is a collection of web-based applications designed specifically for the hospitality industry. The solution is deployed via the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model and automates the “Procure-to-Pay” cycle, cutting inefficiencies out of the procurement process while strengthening financial controls. In addition to its original eProcurement platform, the recently announced Capital Projects Management Suite (CPMS) will be on display at the show from June 25-28 at booth number 381.
New customer wins will take center stage at the BirchStreet booth this week with the most recent addition to its customer roster being Global Hyatt Corporation. Hyatt has chosen BirchStreet’s eProcurement platform as well as its Inventory Control and Recipe Management applications to streamline their purchasing, inventory and food cost management.
“The HITEC show is an ideal venue for us to demonstrate the benefits for our e-Procurement solution,” said Doug Sanborn, BirchStreet president and chief executive officer. “Our solution was designed specifically for the hospitality industry – no other e-Procurement solution on the market has been architected to the particular needs and demands of this growing industry.”
A key differentiator for BirchStreet is in how its Application Suite is delivered. BirchStreet employs the SaaS model for deployment of its software, which reduces the total cost of ownership compared with the traditional method of buying and maintaining enterprise software.
BirchStreet’s CPMS is the industry’s first comprehensive solution for the management of multi-property hotel renovation projects. The new CPMS arms hotel owners with a hosted multi-property application that manages renovation project timelines and purchase order scheduling, tracks the furniture, fixture and equipment (FF&E) budget, enforces brand standards and monitors compliance with the renovation schedule.
BirchStreet’s Application Suite is a comprehensive back-office business system for the hospitality and food service industries. The software can be run as a single-property solution or provide an enterprise-wide view of the procurement process, helping customers identify ways to leverage the collective buying power of their organization. The software also provides a comprehensive tool to drive consistent business processes, automation and financial control across the company’s portfolio of properties.
