H.O.T. Conference and SaaS Evolution Summit Highlight Benefits of Automated Processes for Global Hotel Chains
Newport Beach, Calif., March 13, 2007 – BirchStreet Systems, a leading provider of eProcurement and back office automation solutions to the hospitality industry, today announced that Doug Sanborn, CEO, will address attendees at the Hospitality Operations & Technology (H.O.T.) Conference and SaaS Evolution Summit this week. BirchStreet is a sponsor of the HOT conference, which is being held in Dallas, Texas from March 14-16. The SaaS Evolution Summit is taking place in Monterey, Calif. on March 14.
Sanborn will be speaking in the H.O.T. conference session titled, “eProcurement Systems” on Thursday, March 15 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM CDT. Sanborn will be joined by Jim O’Quinn, director, Global Supply Management Processes and Technologies for Hilton Hotels Corporation. The joint presentation explores how hotel chains are using new e-Procurement technologies to leverage collective buying power and streamline back-office automation.
Sanborn’s presentation to the SaaS Evolotion Summit is titled, “Verticalization of SaaS Apps” and will take place on March 14. The presentation will provide a view into the hospitality industry and how software delivered over the Internet has made over 1,000 hotels more efficient through automated, streamlined processes and financial controls.
“Large hotel companies are highly complex organizations with locations spread across the globe. Each hotel requires tight controls and automated processes for procuring food and beverage and managing requisitions and inventory,” said Sanborn. “Our SaaS model puts our technology at the fingertips of our customers quickly and without the maintenance problems that are typical of major enterprise software installations. The H.O.T. conference and SaaS Summit provide us with two ideal forums for sharing the benefits of our software solution.”
Recognizing that existing procurement solutions were not meeting the needs of large hospitality companies, Sanborn founded BirchStreet Systems in 2002. Today over 11,000 users rely on BirchStreet’s e-Procurement Application Suite, which has become the standard for industry leaders like Hilton Hotels Corporation, Interstate Hotels and Resorts and others.
