Campbell’s Soup Selects BirchStreet Recipe Management Solution
Newport Beach, CA. September 24, 2013 – Campbell’s Soup, the leading soup maker and marketer in the world, with revenues of over $7.7 billion, selected BirchStreet Systems as it Recipe Management solution provider. Campbell’s Soup has 32 brands globally, including their soup brands, with household name brands such as Prego, Pepperidge Farm, V8, Bolthouse Farms, Pace, Swanson, Plum Organics, Royco, Arnott’s, Liebig, Stock Pot, Erasco and others.
As a large enterprise, Campbell’s Soup had two main objectives regarding recipes. The first was to incorporate an integrated recipe management system to use for all of their brands. BirchStreet Recipe Management has many features, but most importantly, it allows for the creation of recipes with associated nutritional data. The module also will include recipe variance, depending on that nutritional data, allergen information, quantities and food availability. The system will be used to build recipes, which will then be pushed out to their social media channels, website, in-store recipes and other marketing outlets to customers.
The second goal was to procure a Menu Pad (tablet) to use as a sales tool for more commercial use as a food supplier. This was the biggest draw to BirchStreet as the Recipe Management solution is specifically made for tablet use as a Recipe Pad. The Campbell’s Soup’s sales team will soon have the ability to show customer accounts – such as schools, hospitals, institutions, retirement homes, commercial food suppliers, and others – menu plans, nutritional values, and recommended daily food allowances for both children and adults. This type of menu planning benefits consumers and promotes healthy eating, which the company is dedicated to providing.
BirchStreet proudly welcomes Campbell’s Soup into its impressive list of clients and looks forward to developing the relationship.
