Newport Beach, Calif., June 1, 2006 – BirchStreet Systems, Inc., a leading provider of eProcurement solutions to the hospitality industry, announced today the selection of its Enterprise Procurement and Financial Control System by Marriott International.
The system is now live in a handful of Marriott properties in London. It will be rolled out to most of the 60+ Marriott and Renaissance properties in the United Kingdom this summer. The system, created and hosted by BirchStreet, provides automation and financial controls at the property level while providing top-down purchasing controls and supplier performance metrics for corporate Procurement and Finance.
“BirchStreet is dedicated to providing the lowest possible total cost of ownership. IT impact is minimized as the system is hosted by BirchStreet; user access is via the browser over the Internet. Configuration and end-user training is done by the BirchStreet implementation team. Catalogs are typically maintained by suppliers utilizing BirchStreet’s easy-to-use catalog management module with supplier training and support provided by BirchStreet,” said John Hamilton, Vice President of Application Services.
BirchStreet is committed to providing hospitality automation solutions that provide great value at all levels: efficiency and ease of use at the end user level; financial controls, decision support, budgetary visibility at the department head and GM level; and real-time visibility into purchasing, financial controls, contract compliance and supplier performance across the portfolio at the corporate level.
